Build Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a leading social housing provider in the appointment of three Contract Surveyors to join their Planned Investment Team. These are initial 3-month contract roles with the possibility of extension.
Role Overview
As a Contract Surveyor, you will play a key role in overseeing and managing surveying activities across a large and diverse housing portfolio. Your work will help ensure the integrity, safety, and compliance of housing assets through effective surveying, reporting, and project management. You will be responsible for delivering a wide range of professional surveying services, including:
- Conducting property surveys (minimum 4 surveys per day) across West London and Berkshire
- Writing detailed specifications
- Carrying out enforcement inspections
- Producing comprehensive survey reports
- Undertaking repairs diagnostics
- Supporting related project management activities throughout the works process
Key Requirements
- Prior experience of conducting property surveys across a varied portfolio within the social housing sector
- Strong knowledge of damp and mould surveying and understanding of HHSRS (Housing Health and Safety Rating System)
- Familiarity with the NHF Schedule of Rates
- Preferably holds a surveying-related qualification (HNC/HND, Degree, CIOB, RICS, or equivalent)
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Ability to work independently, manage workload efficiently and meet daily survey targets
