We are seeking a skilled and reliable Carpenter to join a reputable social housing maintenance contractor on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This role involves carrying out flat entrance door installations and repairs within occupied residential properties, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in line with fire safety and building regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, repair, and replace flat entrance and fire-rated doorsets.
Undertake general carpentry and joinery maintenance tasks as required.
Ensure all work complies with relevant health, safety, and building standards.
Work efficiently and professionally in occupied properties, maintaining excellent tenant relationships.
Complete all required job documentation accurately and on time.
Requirements:
NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Carpentry/Joinery.
Proven experience fitting flat entrance and fire doors in social housing or similar environments.
Strong understanding of fire safety and door compliance standards.
Full UK driving licence.
