A great opportunity to start a temporary role in Exeter, Devon. You will be working for a busy SME contractor with both maintenance and project work around Cornwall & Devon. We are looking for a qualified plumber pipe fitter to strip out the existing pipe work on a large commercial building in Exeter, as well as installing, flushing, testing and lagging a new copper system. Please note this is a labour only contract; all materials will be provided, you just need tools. This contract will run for 3 months starting in April and there will be an opportunity for overtime hours on bank holidays. There will most likely be an opportunity for weekend overtime also at certain stages, this is at your own discretion.

Day to day:

  • Cutting, welding and assembling pipes, tubes, fittings, and fixtures.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving problems.
  • Strip out carbon steel pipework.
  • Working around and flushing fan coils.
  • Installing copper pipe work.
  • Cutting & measuring materials.
  • Site safety, helping to maintain a safe working environment.
  • To work alongside a labourer or plumber's mate.

Requirements:

  • Must have a CSCS or JIB card.
  • NVQ level 2 or above.
  • Good work ethic.
  • PPE.
  • Previous experience is essential.
  • Driving licence is not essential but will be beneficial due to job location.
  • Good timekeeping.
