About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join a well-established construction company in East London. The role offers a blend of office, site, and remote work, providing flexibility while staying closely connected to ongoing projects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a Tier 1 background looking to take the next step in their estimating career.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial and residential construction projects.
- Review drawings, specifications, and tender documents to determine project scope and requirements.
- Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to obtain accurate pricing information.
- Contribute to bid strategies, value engineering, and cost-saving initiatives.
- Support project teams with cost analysis, reporting, and risk management.
- Attend site visits and meetings as required to fully understand project requirements.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Construction Estimator, ideally with a Tier 1 main contractor.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and costs.
- Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Working Pattern:
4 days per week in the head office and on-site as needed. 1 day per week working from home.
