Build Recruitment are working on behalf of a well-established social housing provider to recruit an experienced Electrician to join their South region responsive repairs team, covering the Portsmouth, Petersfield, Bordon, and Guildford areas.
Role Overview
You will play a key role in delivering responsive and emergency electrical repairs within occupied social housing properties. The role requires a strong first-time fix approach, excellent fault-finding ability, and a professional, customer-focused attitude.
Key Duties
- Responsive and emergency electrical repairs
- Replacing damaged accessories and fittings
- Electrical fault diagnosis
- Partial rewires
- Distribution board upgrades
- Circuit and heating system fault-finding
- Ensuring all work is completed safely, compliantly, and right first time
- Acting as a professional, customer-facing ambassador in residents’ homes
On-Call & Overtime
- Participation in the on-call rota approx. once every six weeks
- Standby allowance plus payment per completed call-out
- Option to cover additional on-call weeks
- Overtime rates: Monday–Friday: Standard rate; Saturday: Time and a half; Sunday: Double time

Requirements
- Fully qualified Electrician (Level 3 / AM2)
- 18th Edition wiring regulations
- Experience in domestic or social housing repairs (advantageous)
- NICEIC certification or experience using equivalent certification software
- Strong fault-finding and first-time fix ability
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Own hand and power tools
