We are currently recruiting for a Loft Insulation Installer to join a growing Energy Efficiency team delivering insulation and retrofit works across Cornwall. This is a permanent, full-time position working within occupied residential properties, helping improve energy efficiency and reduce fuel costs for residents.
The successful candidate will have experience within insulation, construction, roofing, property maintenance, or a similar trade background and will be responsible for delivering high-quality loft insulation installations and associated remedial works in line with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Installing loft insulation within domestic properties
- Carrying out basic ventilation improvements and associated building fabric works
- Completing remedial works required before insulation installations
- Ensuring all installations comply with PAS 2035 standards and manufacturer specifications
- Working safely within occupied properties while maintaining excellent customer service standards
- Communicating effectively with residents regarding works being undertaken
- Accurately recording completed works using handheld devices and company systems
- Completing installation paperwork, certificates, job sheets and associated documentation
- Reporting any defects, variations or additional works required
- Ensuring all work is completed within agreed timeframes and company quality standards
- Experience carrying out loft insulation installations or similar building fabric works
- Background within construction, roofing, property maintenance, insulation or a related trade
- Experience working within occupied residential properties
- Good understanding of Health & Safety procedures and safe working practices
- Ability to carry out physically demanding work safely
- Experience using handheld devices or mobile job management systems
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Willingness to undergo a DBS check
- NVQ Level 2 in Insulation and Building Treatments or equivalent
- Experience working to PAS 2035 standards
- Experience with cavity wall insulation or cavity wall extraction works
- Previous experience within social housing, retrofit or energy efficiency projects
