We are looking for an experienced Design Manager or a Lead Engineer looking for the next step? do you have passion and enthusiasm to create innovative solutions to engineering challenges? You would be working for an award winning and forward thinking, creative Engineering Services company. Reporting to the Technical Director and leading a small team with a remit to grow, develop and shape activities within the business you will lead from the front fully understanding the interactions between disciplines. Key Responsibilities: – Lead and develop the design team for water projects across various disciplines (process, mechanical, electrical, structural, civil). – Set department goals aligned with company objectives. – Ensure interdisciplinary collaboration for efficient, high-quality designs. – Serve as the Principal Designer under CDM regulations and manage Temporary Works per BS 5975. – Oversee 2D and 3D modeling using AutoCAD. – Coordinate with project and operations teams to ensure smooth technical project execution. – Explore new construction methods and ensure designs comply with client and statutory standards. – Manage design-related meetings and ensure timely, accurate documentation. – Support project management and track design changes. Qualifications: – Proven experience managing multidisciplinary design teams, within the water industry is desired – Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D/3D modeling). – Knowledge of CDM regulations, BS 5975, and WIMES standards. – Strong leadership, project management, and communication skills.
