My client is a well-established flooring contractor in the Northwest and members of the CFA Contract Flooring Association. They offer all types of flooring and wall cladding services to end users and main contractors throughout a range of commercial sectors. We are looking to strengthen our team by the addition of an experienced Contracts Manager. Based in Chorley, with client sites mainly in the Northwest region, however nationwide on occasion, the right candidate will be able to join our existing team and contribute to our continued growth by building and maintaining relationships with new and existing clients.
Role Description
The Contracts Manager will be responsible for overseeing the management and administration of contracts, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements, negotiating terms and conditions, and mitigating risk. The role also involves coordination with various stakeholders, monitoring contract performance, and resolving any issues that may arise during the contract lifecycle.
- Oversee multiple projects ranging from £1,000 – £500,000.
- Allocate required labour resources.
- Negotiate with clients whilst ensuring projects are profitable & commercially viable.
- Carry out site meetings & surveys.
- Monitor & record variations and gain client instructions.
- Work to our quality plan ensuring quality management of the project from start through to completion.
- Understand site requirements & manage multiple installations.
Qualifications
- Adhere to Health and Safety guidelines.
- Produce Risk and Method Statements.
- Demonstrate sound knowledge of products and sub-floors.
- Have excellent IT skills – Experience with Callidus is desirable.
- Have excellent communication skills, be commercially astute and work independently as well as part of a team.
- Focus on contract management and delivery of projects on time, on budget and to a high standard.
- The ideal candidate will hold a current CSCS Card, SMSTS (desirable), along with a proven track record of winning and managing flooring projects.
