Are you an experienced MEP Planner looking to take on a senior role with a leading national contractor? Our client is a large, well-established national construction business with an impressive portfolio of major projects across the UK. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of work, they are looking to appoint an experienced Senior MEP Planner to join their team, with Bristol as a base. This is an excellent opportunity to work on large-scale commercial projects, taking ownership of complex MEP programmes and working closely with project, commercial and delivery teams.

The Role

As Senior MEP Planner, you will be responsible for developing, managing and monitoring detailed construction programmes, with a particular focus on mechanical and electrical packages. You will work on a hybrid basis, with travel to projects as and when necessary.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing and managing detailed MEP construction programmes from pre-construction through to project completion.
  • Producing, updating and monitoring programmes using ASTA Powerproject.
  • Working closely with project managers, MEP teams, subcontractors and commercial teams to ensure programmes are realistic and achievable.
  • Identifying programme risks, delays and critical path activities.
  • Providing progress updates and reports to senior management and project teams.
  • Reviewing subcontractor programmes and ensuring they align with overall project delivery.
  • Supporting tender and pre-construction teams where required.
  • Attending project meetings and travelling to sites across the UK as required.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an MEP Planner or Senior Planner within the construction industry.
  • Strong experience working on large-scale commercial construction projects.
  • Excellent working knowledge of ASTA Powerproject is essential.
  • Strong understanding of MEP installation, sequencing and construction methodology.
  • Experience managing complex programmes from pre-construction through to completion.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Comfortable working independently while collaborating with teams across multiple locations.
  • Willingness to travel to projects and offices when required.

  • £75,000 – £85,000 per annum, depending on experience plus 6k car allowance.
