We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to join a major hospital development project in Oxford. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a leading principal contractor on a high-profile healthcare scheme involving the installation and fit‑out of specialist medical apparatus, surgical equipment, clinical spaces and healthcare environments.

IMPORTANT Candidates MUST have proven hospital fit-out experience. Applicants without healthcare project experience will NOT be considered.

Essential Requirements

  • Proven experience delivering hospital or healthcare fit‑out projects
  • Strong knowledge of Health Technical Memorandums (HTMs)
  • Strong understanding of Health Building Notes (HBNs)
  • Experience managing the installation of specialist medical and surgical equipment
  • Previous experience working for a Principal Contractor
  • Valid SMSTS
  • Valid First Aid at Work
  • CSCS Card

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing day-to-day site operations across complex healthcare fit‑out works
  • Coordinating and managing subcontractors and specialist installation teams
  • Overseeing the installation of medical apparatus, surgical equipment and associated services
  • Monitoring programme performance and driving progress against key milestones
  • Chairing weekly subcontractor, coordination and progress meetings
  • Ensuring all works comply with HTM, HBN and healthcare‑specific regulations
  • Managing health, safety, quality and environmental standards across site
  • Reviewing RAMS, permits to work and site documentation
  • Liaising with clients, consultants, NHS stakeholders and project teams
  • Identifying and resolving site issues to minimise programme impact
  • Producing progress reports and ensuring works are delivered safely, on time and to specification
  • Managing inspections, commissioning activities and project handovers
