Our client is a well-established construction and groundworks contractor based in Truro, delivering a wide range of civil engineering and groundworks projects across the region. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an Estimator to join their commercial team. Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing accurate cost estimates for groundworks and construction projects.
  • Analysing drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
  • Producing take-offs and pricing materials, labour, and plant.
  • Working closely with senior estimators and the wider commercial team.
  • Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors for pricing and enquiries.
  • Assisting with bid submissions and tender returns.

About You

  • Previous experience as an Estimator or Assistant Estimator within construction or groundworks.
  • Good understanding of groundworks, civils, or infrastructure packages (preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.

  • Proficient with Excel and estimating software.
