Floor Layer – Social Housing

Salary: £35,000 – £38,000 per annum (Dependent on Experience)

Build Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Floor Layer to join a leading social housing contractor delivering responsive repairs and maintenance services across the Kingston area.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established organisation offering long-term stability, a competitive salary, and the opportunity to work within a busy repairs and maintenance team, carrying out flooring installations in occupied and void social housing properties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Installation of PolySafe, vinyl and lino flooring to a high standard.
  • Fitting Cap & Cove flooring systems.
  • Carrying out flooring works within wet rooms.
  • Completing responsive repairs and planned maintenance flooring works.
  • Working in occupied and void social housing properties.
  • Delivering excellent customer service while maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
  • Ensuring all work is completed in line with health and safety regulations and company standards.

Essential Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Floor Layer within social housing, domestic maintenance or a similar environment.
  • Confident fitting PolySafe, vinyl and lino flooring.
  • Experienced in Cap & Cove installations and wet room flooring.
  • Own tools, including a Vinyl Welder, are essential.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently.
