We are seeking an experienced Voids Supervisor to join a well-established social housing contractor operating across Kingston and the surrounding areas. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with a strong background in void property refurbishment, planned works, and team leadership.
As a Voids Supervisor, you will oversee the delivery of void refurbishment projects, ensuring properties are returned to a lettable standard within agreed timescales, budgets, and quality standards. You will play a key role in managing operatives, subcontractors, and client relationships while maintaining a strong focus on health and safety and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage operatives and subcontractors carrying out void property refurbishment works.
- Plan, allocate, and monitor workloads to ensure void properties are completed on time and within budget.
- Carry out pre- and post-inspections to assess work requirements and quality standards.
- Ensure all works comply with client specifications, company procedures, and health and safety regulations.
- Monitor productivity, quality, and performance across multiple projects.
- Liaise with housing associations, local authorities, tenants, and internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Resolve operational issues and ensure a high standard of workmanship is maintained.
- Support the achievement of contractual KPIs and performance targets.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a Voids Supervisor, Maintenance Supervisor, or similar role within social housing or property maintenance.
- Strong understanding of void refurbishment programmes and property maintenance.
- Excellent leadership and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Good IT literacy and experience using repairs or maintenance management systems.
- Full UK driving licence.
