We're looking for an experienced Site Manager / Project Manager with a background in Fire Doors or Passive Fire Protection to join a growing Fire Door division. This is a hands-on role for someone who knows how to run projects, manage people, deal with clients and, most importantly, get the job done properly. You'll take projects from pre-construction through to completion, overseeing delivery, quality, compliance, labour, materials and client relationships along the way.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Managing fire door installation, inspection and remedial projects
- Taking ownership of projects from mobilisation through to completion
- Overseeing day-to-day site operations and resolving issues proactively
- Managing programmes and ensuring projects stay on track
- Coordinating labour, materials, procurement and internal teams
- Managing and supporting site operatives to maintain consistently high standards
- Carrying out fire door surveys, measurements and condition reports
- Providing technical input and identifying compliant, cost-effective solutions
- Conducting site audits, quality checks and compliance inspections
- Managing photographic evidence, inspection data and project records
- Acting as a key point of contact for clients, consultants and site teams
- Reporting project progress, risks, delays and commercial issues to senior management
- Ensuring all works comply with RAMS, CDM requirements, manufacturer specifications and BlueSky accreditation standards
- Supporting the wider business with fire-stopping projects and surveys when required
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We're interested in people who have genuine experience within the fire door / passive fire protection sector. You'll ideally have:
- Experience managing fire door or passive fire protection projects
- Strong understanding of fire door standards and compliance
- Experience surveying, measuring and reporting on fire doors
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Confidence dealing directly with clients and site teams
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach
- Experience managing and coordinating site labour
SMSTS / SSSTS, First Aid and relevant fire-door training are preferred.
