Independent Living Advisor
3 month assignment (likely to be extended) to provide intensive housing management support to sheltered housing residents.
Frome, Somerset
£13 - £15 per hour
Please note: you must be able to drive for this role
Key Responsibilities
- Build positive relationships and deliver warm, friendly service
- Assist prospective and new customers
- Ensure residents understand rights and responsibilities
- Site inspections, risk assessments, communal areas, lifts
- Contractor monitoring – grounds, cleaning, laundry services
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth service delivery
- Manage disputes, complete referrals for aids/adaptations, respond to emergencies
Essential Experience
- Experience working with older people
- Strong communication skills and ability to adapt to individual needs
- Admin and numeracy skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good Microsoft Office knowledge
- Commitment to Equality & Diversity
Desirable
- Knowledge of Housing Benefit
- Experience supporting residents through bereavement or loss
