Build Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Roofer's Mate to join a leading social housing contractor delivering responsive repairs and maintenance services across Havant and the surrounding areas.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established organisation, providing support to roofing teams carrying out repairs and maintenance on occupied and void social housing properties.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting Roofers with responsive roofing repairs and planned maintenance.
- Preparing materials, tools and equipment for roofing works.
- Carrying out roof strip-outs and assisting with the installation of new roofing materials.
- Loading and unloading materials safely.
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work area.
- Assisting with guttering, fascias, soffits and roofline repairs.
- Working in occupied and void social housing properties.
- Ensuring all work is carried out safely and in accordance with company procedures.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Roofer's Mate or Roofing Labourer.
- Experience working within roofing repairs or maintenance.
- Ability to work at height safely.
- Good understanding of health and safety on construction sites.
- Full UK Driving Licence preferred.
- Reliable, hardworking and able to work effectively as part of a team.
