Job Title: Grounds Maintenance Operative
Location: East London
Salary: £28,000 per annum (DOE)
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Grounds Maintenance Operative to join a local authority team in East London. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a varied and rewarding role, maintaining and enhancing public green spaces across the borough.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out general grounds maintenance and gardening duties to a high standard.
• Maintain lawns, flower beds, trees, shrubs, and other landscaped areas.
• Operate grounds maintenance equipment safely and efficiently.
• Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety regulations.
• Maintain vehicles and equipment provided, including adherence to fuel card use for business purposes.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience in grounds maintenance or gardening.
• Full UK driving license (essential).
• PA1/PA6 certification (desirable) or horticulture qualifications (desirable).
• Strong work ethic and reliability.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

What We Offer
