Job Overview

The Electrician will carry out electrical testing, inspection, installation, and maintenance works across schools, care homes, and social housing properties throughout Gloucestershire. The role requires a high standard of workmanship, strong compliance with health & safety regulations, and a professional, customer-focused approach. This is a varied position where no two days are the same, ideal for an experienced electrician who enjoys problem-solving and takes pride in delivering quality work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs)
  • Complete remedial, planned, and reactive electrical works
  • Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard
  • Work independently and as part of a wider team
  • Accurately complete documentation using tablets and reporting systems
  • Support and assist in the training of apprentices when required
  • Maintain compliance with current wiring regulations and health & safety legislation

Essential Requirements

  • Completed a recognised electrical apprenticeship
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
  • City & Guilds 2391 (or equivalent) Inspection & Testing
  • Proven experience in testing, inspection, and maintenance
  • Good understanding of health & safety regulations
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload
  • Confident using tablets for reports and certification
  • Full UK Driving Licence
