Job Overview
The Electrician will carry out electrical testing, inspection, installation, and maintenance works across schools, care homes, and social housing properties throughout Gloucestershire. The role requires a high standard of workmanship, strong compliance with health & safety regulations, and a professional, customer-focused approach. This is a varied position where no two days are the same, ideal for an experienced electrician who enjoys problem-solving and takes pride in delivering quality work.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs)
- Complete remedial, planned, and reactive electrical works
- Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard
- Work independently and as part of a wider team
- Accurately complete documentation using tablets and reporting systems
- Support and assist in the training of apprentices when required
- Maintain compliance with current wiring regulations and health & safety legislation
Essential Requirements
- Completed a recognised electrical apprenticeship
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- City & Guilds 2391 (or equivalent) Inspection & Testing
- Proven experience in testing, inspection, and maintenance
- Good understanding of health & safety regulations
- Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload
- Confident using tablets for reports and certification
- Full UK Driving Licence
