Working in Occupied Properties
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Carpenter to join a reputable social housing maintenance contractor on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This role involves carrying out flat entrance door installations and repairs within occupied residential properties, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in line with fire safety and building regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, and replace flat entrance and fire-rated doorsets.
- Undertake general carpentry and joinery maintenance tasks as required.
- Ensure all work complies with relevant health, safety, and building standards.
- Work efficiently and professionally in occupied properties, maintaining excellent tenant relationships.
- Complete all required job documentation accurately and on time.
Requirements:
- NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Carpentry/Joinery.
- Proven experience fitting flat entrance and fire doors in social housing or similar environments.
- Strong understanding of fire safety and door compliance standards.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Ability to work independently with a high level of attention to detail.
What We Offer:
- Β£40,000 per annum.
