We are seeking an experienced Tiling Estimator to join our team, working on a range of commercial tiling projects including residential developments, retail, hospitality, healthcare, and public-sector works. This is a key role responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, supporting tender submissions, and working closely with project managers and site teams to ensure successful delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for commercial tiling projects
- Measure and take off quantities from drawings, specifications, and schedules
- Analyse tender documents, drawings, and scope of works
- Obtain and assess supplier and subcontractor quotations
- Prepare pricing breakdowns, budgets, and value engineering options
- Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal teams during the tender process
- Assist with variations, cost control, and post-tender handovers
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Tiling Estimator or Estimator within the tiling / finishes / construction sector
- Strong knowledge of commercial tiling systems, materials, and installation methods
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Excellent numerical, analytical, and organisational skills
- Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Excel
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
Desirable
- Experience working on large-scale or high-value commercial projects
- Background in subcontractor estimating
- Knowledge of procurement and supplier negotiation
