A highly regarded heat networks provider is looking to appoint an experienced Estimator to support its continued growth across the social housing and public sector market. Working closely with sales, delivery, and technical teams, the Estimator will play a pivotal role in producing accurate, competitive costings for district and communal heating projects, with a particular focus on residential and social housing schemes.

The Role

As Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates and supporting tender submissions for heat network projects from early enquiry through to contract award.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing accurate and commercially competitive estimates for heat network projects
  • Reviewing project specifications, drawings, and employer’s requirements
  • Liaising with internal teams, suppliers, and subcontractors to gather pricing information
  • Supporting tender submissions, quotations, and value engineering exercises
  • Ensuring all estimates align with company procedures and commercial strategy
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of products, supply chain costs, and market trends

About You

You will be a commercially astute estimator with experience in M&E, energy, or heat networks, ideally within residential or social housing environments.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven experience in an Estimator or Costing role
  • Background in heat networks, district heating, M&E, or related energy infrastructure
  • Strong understanding of pricing, margins, and tender processes
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Confident communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
