About the Company

Our client is a respected contractor specialising in social housing maintenance and external works. They are delivering a major roofing replacement and improvement programme across occupied homes in Eastbourne and require a Resident Liaison Officer to support residents throughout the project.

Role Overview

As the Resident Liaison Officer, you will act as the key link between residents, site teams, and the wider project delivery team. You will ensure households are fully informed about upcoming roofing works, supported throughout the process, and that any concerns are managed professionally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Resident Communication & Support
  • Act as the main point of contact for residents during roofing works
  • Explain project timelines, scaffolding needs, and potential disruption
  • Conduct home visits, drop-in sessions, and resident meetings
  • Provide additional support to vulnerable residents
  • Manage and resolve resident queries and complaints
  • Project Coordination
    • Work with site managers and operatives to coordinate access and appointments
    • Maintain accurate communication and resident records
    • Carry out property visits to monitor progress and ensure respectful working practices
  • Community Engagement
    • Promote positive relationships between residents, contractors, and the client
    • Support feedback surveys and engagement initiatives
  • Administration & Reporting
    • Log resident interactions and concerns
    • Provide updates on engagement and satisfaction
    • Track issues to ensure timely resolution

    Requirements

    • Experience as an RLO or in housing, customer service, or a community-facing role
    • Strong communication and people skills
    • Ability to handle sensitive or challenging situations
    • Good organisational and IT skills
    • Full UK Driving Licence (vehicle provided)
