I’m currently working with a leading contractor within the building services and construction sector who are looking to appoint an experienced Lead Planner to support the delivery of major M&E projects within the healthcare sector. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced M&E Planner to take ownership of planning activities across complex, large-scale projects, working alongside senior operational and project teams to ensure programmes are developed, managed and delivered effectively. The business operates across technically demanding environments, so they are particularly interested in individuals with a strong MEP / M&E background gained within a large main contractor or tier-one building services environment.
The Role
As Planning Lead, you will take responsibility for developing, managing and monitoring project programmes, ensuring key milestones, resources and delivery objectives are clearly defined and achieved. You’ll work closely with Project Directors, Project Managers, Commercial teams and operational stakeholders, providing planning expertise and ensuring programme risks and opportunities are identified throughout the project lifecycle.
About You
We’re keen to speak with experienced planners who understand the complexities of delivering large-scale M&E projects, ideally within healthcare or other technically demanding environments. You’ll ideally have:
- Proven experience in an M&E / MEP Planning role within a large main contractor or Tier 1 building services contractor.
- Experience working on major construction or building services projects.
- A strong understanding of mechanical and electrical installation programmes, sequencing and project delivery.
- Experience developing and managing programmes using Asta Power Projects, Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.
- The ability to identify programme risks, manage critical paths and implement recovery strategies.
- Experience working alongside multidisciplinary project teams and senior stakeholders.
- Strong communication and organisational skills, with the confidence to challenge and influence project delivery teams.
Healthcare experience would be highly advantageous, particularly within complex hospital environments where coordination, sequencing and programme management are critical.
