Up to £85,000 £6,500 car allowance 10% bonus hybrid working
I'm working with a well-established contractor to recruit a Managing Quantity Surveyor to join their Midlands team.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Senior QS looking to take the next step into management, or an established Managing QS looking for a new challenge.
You'll oversee the commercial management of multiple refurbishment and planned works schemes, whilst managing and supporting a team of 2–3 Quantity Surveyors.
Projects include kitchens and bathrooms, windows and doors, roofing, fire stopping and smaller conversion works, working with local authority clients.
The Role
Your responsibilities will include:
Overseeing the commercial management of multiple refurbishment schemes.
Managing CVRs, valuations, forecasting and overall cost control.
Monitoring project performance, identifying commercial risks and protecting profitability.
Managing subcontractor accounts, variations and final accounts.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and internal stakeholders.
Ensuring commercial reporting is accurate and projects are performing in line with agreed budgets.
Working closely with the wider team to ensure the successful commercial delivery of projects.
What We're Looking For
I'm keen to speak with either an established Managing QS or a strong Senior QS who is ready to step up and take on more responsibility.
Ideally, you'll have:
Experience working for a contractor within social housing, or local authority contracts
Experience with projects such as kitchens and bathrooms, roofing, windows and doors, fire stopping or similar works.
Strong commercial experience, particularly around CVRs, valuations, forecasting and cost control.
The ability to manage multiple schemes at once while maintaining strong commercial oversight.
The confidence to manage, support and develop a small team of Quantity Surveyors.
Experience working with public sector or local authority clients would be advantageous, particularly within a refurbishment environment.
