THE OPPORTUNITY

Build Recruitment is working in partnership with a well-established Housing Association in Bedfordshire to recruit an experienced Multi-Trader to join their responsive repairs team on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled tradesperson looking for long-term job security, a stable workload and the benefits of permanent employment within the social housing sector. The role involves carrying out responsive maintenance and repair works across social housing properties, with a particular focus on void properties. You will complete a variety of repairs and remedial works to bring empty homes up to a high lettable standard before they are re-let.

THE ROLE

  • Carrying out responsive repairs and maintenance across social housing properties
  • Completing a range of works within void properties prior to re-let
  • Carpentry and joinery repairs
  • Installing and repairing doors, frames, skirting boards and architraves
  • Repairing windows and minor joinery
  • Carrying out basic plumbing repairs
  • Completing patch plastering and making good
  • Painting and decorating
  • Identifying additional works and defects requiring attention
  • Bringing properties up to a high lettable standard
  • Working to agreed programmes and handover deadlines
  • Using hand and power tools safely and effectively
  • Maintaining high standards of workmanship and health & safety

  • Good attention to detail and pride in your workmanship
