This is a great opportunity for an Estimator who enjoys being involved in the detail, from initial take-offs through to tender submission and adjudication. This would suit an individual looking to work on a varied portfolio of commercial fit-out, refurbishment, infrastructure and technology projects across London and the South East.

The Role

You’ll take ownership of mechanical tenders from enquiry through to final submission, working closely with suppliers, subcontractors, the electrical estimating team and senior management. Key responsibilities include:

  • Completing detailed mechanical take-offs from drawings and tender information
  • Managing tender documentation and ensuring full document control
  • Obtaining and negotiating competitive quotations from suppliers and subcontractors
  • Reviewing specifications, designs and regulatory requirements
  • Working closely with the Electrical Estimator to produce fully compliant M&E tenders
  • Preparing tender adjudications and presenting pricing to the Director
  • Ensuring tenders are accurate, commercially competitive and submitted on time

About You

We’re looking for someone with:

  • At least 2 years' mechanical estimating experience
  • Strong understanding of mechanical building services
  • Experience completing your own take-offs
  • Good knowledge of drawings, specifications and tender processes
  • Experience obtaining supplier/subcontractor quotations
  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Trimble experience would be advantageous
