The Company

My client specialises in Commercial construction projects, predominantly Interior Fit-Out & Refurbishment working with blue chip clients in the public and private sector creating workplaces and environments that enhance their client’s business processes.

The Health & Safety Administrator Role:

The Health and Safety Administrator / Coordinator is responsible for ensuring we have a safe and compliant work environment at all times by actively maintaining health and safety standards and minimising risks through regular audits, updating risk assessments and providing comprehensive health and safety support and advice to all stakeholders.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Management of subcontractor’s starter forms
  • Managing the time management software used on all sites. This would include ensuring the operatives are registered and set up correctly and the profiles are complete with the correct information.
  • Setting up inductions for site
  • Organising operatives’ data
  • Carrying out the monthly toolbox talks and collating the required data for submission to an external source
  • Management of the training matrix and ensuring all training remains in date and training organised as required
  • Right to works checks for all operatives
  • CSCS data collating
  • Submitting Health & Safety reports
  • Producing RAMS
  • Collating accident report stats
  • Producing H&S competency questionnaires and plans

The Successful Health and Safety Administrator / Coordinator:

  • Background experience in health and safety within construction industry including fit-out and built environment experience.
  • Experience in providing advice and support to business in design risk avoidance & ongoing risk management.
  • Ability to influence and communicate effectively (written and verbal).
  • Ability to produce clear, high-quality verbal and written reports.
  • Ability to plan and manage time / tasks / priorities to tight deadlines.
  • Able to cope with peaks and troughs in workload.
