The client is a well-established turnkey Principal Building Services & Engineering Contractor with a turnover of c£80m. This has been achieved by working collaboratively with our clients to understand their needs and become an extension of their business, expanding service offerings and geography to meet the expectations required.
The BMS Application Engineer role is a Technical role focused on designing, configuring and supporting systems that control and monitor building operations like HVAC, lighting and energy usage.
The role of BMS Applications Engineer will require you to undertake daily the following responsibilities:
- 3 Years project engineer experience in the construction industry, with experience in BMS and control systems.
- Software experience with Distech, Niagara and Trend.
- Good verbal and written skills, ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience.
- Proficient in Microsoft programmes including Excel, Word & Project.
- Experience working on large projects (£1-£3M in value).
- Ability to work under pressure, to tight deadlines.
- Ability to work on Problem Solving, diagnosing faults in live building.
- Experience of managing H&S in a construction environment.
- Valid Safe pass site card.
- Experience working within Datacentres / critical infrastructure environments.
- Knowledge of Metasys, Tridium, Trend or any OEM BMS platform.
- First Aid & SMSTS / SSSTS.
- Knowledge of necessary Contractual procedures and requirements (e.g. the Construction Act).
- Edit and enhance graphics, illustrations, and layouts to improve clarity and visual appeal.
The Successful BMS Application Engineer:
- A minimum of 5 years with project management experience in the construction industry, with experience in BMS and control systems.
- Ability to manage internal & external stakeholders.
- Good verbal and written skills, ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience.
- Proficient in all Microsoft programmes, including Excel, Word & Project.
- Experience working on large projects (£2-£4M in value).
- Ability to work under pressure, to tight deadlines.
- Strong financial and commercial acumen.
- Experience of managing H&S in a construction environment.
- Valid Safe pass site card.
- Experience working within Datacentres / critical infrastructure environments.
- Knowledge of Metasys, Tridium, Trend or any OEM BMS platform.
