Role: They are now recruiting for a Design Technician with exceptional 2D drafting capability to join a very experienced team of Design Managers and Senior Design Managers and their associated teams designers.

You will be working in an extremely supportive office as part of a team of dedicated system partitioning specialists.

You will work on a variety of nationwide projects up to £8m in value.

Working in this fast-paced environment, the Design Technician will become involved in core projects in workplace fitout.

The job predominately involves creating 2D Section details, elevations, manufacturing drawings using Auto CAD software.

Scheduling of materials and componentry.

Proven ability in carrying out site visits and the ability to carry out site surveys is essential.

Interface detailing and coordinating with other fit out trades is pivotal to the Assistant Design Managers role.

Attending design and trade coordination workshops Assisting in maintaining and developing assets libraries Bringing new creative and interactive ideas into the team The ideal Design Technician will be enthusiastic, with a keen interest in design and the workplace fit out environment, and with a willingness to develop their skills.

A natural tendency to have a high attention to detail and highly organised working process will be required.

Key skill requirements: Expert in Auto CAD 2DRevit Modelling, BIM and 3D modelling experience.

Good understanding of Microsoft office.

Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Ambitious, Driven, Self-managed, motivated and hard working.

Looking for a long-term career with excellent prospects to progress professionally Minimum of 3 years working within the workplace interior fit out arena for leading main contractors essential.

Direct experience of having in worked with system partitioning, drylining, ceilings or high-end joinery desirable.

Background in construction and architecture an advantage.
