Legacy Law Firm, LLC, a small boutique law firm located in Sandwich, Illinois, is on the lookout for a newly graduated Attorney who has recently passed the Illinois Bar. We focus on the areas of Elder Law, Probate, and Estate Planning. We provide excellent, caring, and valuable services to our community. If you are ready to learn, grow, and envision yourself as a future managing partner of a law firm, but would value a mentor/mentee relationship in the interim, this opportunity is for you! About You: You are a proactive, big-picture thinker with a desire to contribute to a small firm dedicated to serving the community. You possess excellent listening skills, are comfortable working with elder clients, and have an empathetic heart. Whether you're close to Sandwich, Illinois now, or are willing to move to enjoy small-town living (and the lower cost of living) with the amenities of Chicago just an hour and a half away, we want to hear from you.
Job Duties:
- Drafting documents and pleadings
- Meeting with clients
- Handling electronic filings
- Appearing in court for various proceedings
- Managing transactional, litigation, social security, and real estate transactions and closings
Requirements:
- Illinois Bar Licensed Attorney
- Willingness to embrace Elder, Probate, and Estate Planning Law
- Desire to serve the clientele of our small town as their dedicated attorney
- Open to mentorship, following established procedures, and utilizing workflows
- Familiarity with Mac environment (willing to learn if not experienced)
