A growing, multi-disciplinary consultancy is looking to appoint an experienced Principal Flood Risk & Drainage Engineer to support an increasing pipeline of development projects across the South West and beyond. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys technical leadership, varied projects and the chance to grow into wider management and leadership responsibilities over time.

The Role

  • Lead flood risk and drainage inputs on a wide range of development schemes
  • Prepare and oversee Flood Risk Assessments and drainage strategies
  • Work closely with civil engineers, planners and technicians as part of an integrated team
  • Support projects through the planning process, managing programmes and budgets
  • Mentor and support junior team members
  • Contribute to the future growth of the flood risk and drainage capability

About You

  • Degree-qualified in a relevant discipline
  • Several years’ experience in flood risk and drainage within a consultancy environment
  • Strong understanding of the Flood Risk Assessment process
  • Confident leading technical workstreams and liaising with stakeholders
  • Collaborative, proactive and passionate about delivering quality outcomes
  • Ambitious and keen to progress into greater leadership responsibility
