My client is a well-established, family-run plumbing and heating company operating across the South West. Our portfolio ranges from high-end domestic properties to prestigious commercial projects, including work at Windsor Castle and for the Aston Martin Formula 1 team. We are also proud to be a Worcester Bosch Number 1 Partner, one of only four in the UK, and specialise in premium plumbing and heating solutions.
We are currently seeking an experienced Gas Service & Breakdown Engineer to join our growing team. This role focuses on servicing and repairing gas appliances and heating systems for private domestic customers, alongside occasional small plumbing works. You will be customer-facing, representing our business in homes across the South West, so professionalism, communication, and pride in your work are essential.
Training & Development
- We invest heavily in our engineers. From around 12 months after joining, you’ll have access to ongoing training and upskilling, including:
- LPG
- OFTEC
- Unvented systems
- Manufacturer training (including Worcester Bosch)
- Air conditioning and renewable qualifications
Key Responsibilities
- Service and repair domestic gas appliances and heating systems
- Diagnose and resolve breakdowns efficiently and safely
- Carry out minor plumbing works where required
- Maintain excellent customer communication and professionalism
- Work independently while knowing support is always available
What We’re Looking For
- Gas Safe Registered
- NVQ qualification or completion of a recognised apprenticeship route
- Minimum 5 years’ independent experience servicing gas (and/or oil) boilers and heating systems
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
Desirable (not essential):
- LPG qualifications
- OFTEC
- Experience with unvented systems
