We seek a Graduate Structural Engineer to contribute to coastal, fluvial, and environmental engineering projects. This role offers hands-on experience in river engineering and sustainable infrastructure. The successful candidate will support Project Managers and technical specialists in a variety of tasks, including site inspections, feasibility studies, designs, construction support, report writing, external liaison, and digital tool development.

A good understanding of engineering consultancy and awareness of environmental and sustainability issues is beneficial. The role requires a proactive, detail-oriented individual with strong communication and organisational skills who is able to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the delivery of coastal, fluvial, and environmental engineering projects.
  • Assist in project management from concept design to construction implementation.
  • Conduct site inspections, feasibility studies, and technical analyses.
  • Prepare reports, design calculations, and engineering drawings.
  • Work collaboratively with teams across multiple business lines.
  • Develop digital tools and contribute to document management & BIM initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with sustainability and carbon reduction strategies.
  • Support contract administration and liaise with subcontractors and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to bids, tenders, and commercial project aspects.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • BEng (essential) and MEng (desirable) in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Understanding of hydraulic, geotechnical, and structural principles.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience working in a team environment.
  • Willingness to travel within the UK (essential) and overseas (desirable).
