We are working with a well-established consultancy that is now looking to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced Principal Consultant to play a key role in the regional growth. This opportunity would suit candidates with 5 - 10 years' experience in transport development planning, gained either within a consultancy environment or a local authority setting, and who are keen to be involved in continuing to shape a regional presence.
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- A strong understanding of transport planning principles
- Excellent presentation and technical report-writing skills
- The ability to manage their own workload and meet project deadlines
- Experience across a variety of projects, including commercial, retail, and leisure schemes
- The capability to project manage small to medium-sized projects
Additional responsibilities and scope:
- Supporting business development activity and building strong client relationships, particularly within the South West region
- Assisting with negotiations and attending meetings with Highway Authorities
- Preparing fee proposals for new projects and managing project budgets
