I am working on behalf of a general contracting business, with over 40 years of experience, specialising in the delivering of projects across the commercial and MOD sectors. Huge pipeline, great team, endless opportunities.... With offices across the M4 corridor, this position will sit in Wiltshire and can be a hybrid role for the right person.
The Role
As the sole MEP Estimating Manager, the role is responsible for preparing and leading accurate and competitive tenders whilst also developing robust bids through a thorough examination and analysis of tender documentation. Key to the role is staying informed about current market trends, including monitoring potential price fluctuations, to ensure bids remain competitive and commercially sound.
Experience required
- Ideally, you’ll have significant experience in estimating, coupled with a strong technical knowledge of both Electrical and Mechanical systems from an estimating perspective.
- Experience of working in the data centre market (new build and refurbishment) is preferred.
- Familiarity with contract documentation, with the ability to identify and assess potential risks effectively.
- Minimum HNC or equivalent in a construction-related subject.
- Fully IT competent, with strong proficiency in relevant software and tools.
