I am delighted to work alongside this business - a construction company that designs, constructs, and manages buildings for specialist industries including commercial, defence, and energy. They have a large stream of work happening throughout the course of the next 2 - 3 years and subsequently, need to expand the team.
The Role
They are looking for a Senior Design Manager to join the team - someone to lead the design delivery from bid stage to project completion. Based from Wiltshire, projects will be varied and exciting and offer someone the chance to really put their stamp on the business!
Key Duties will include:
- Programme coordination, procurement, construction, cost management, quality, HSE, and business processes
- Oversee planning, Building Control approvals, and inherited design responsibilities
- Acting as the key liaison between the Design Team, internal teams, and subcontractors
- Combines technical expertise, leadership, and commercial awareness to deliver successful project outcomes.
Who we need
In a perfect world, you'll have the following:
- Hold a relevant industry qualification (RIBA, ICE, CIOB)
- Valid CSCS Card
- Strong design and engineering construction knowledge, with technical expertise in building construction.
- Familiarity with current Building Regulations and Health & Safety/CDM Regulations.
- Experience identifying and managing value engineering and value creation opportunities.
