We are recruiting on behalf of a leading utilities organisation for a Design / Digital Engineer to join a growing in-house engineering and digital delivery team. This is a delivery-focused role suited to someone with strong design and digital engineering capability rather than a purely BIM-focused background. The position offers the opportunity to work on engineering projects while contributing to digital design processes and supporting wider project delivery activities. The role is ideal for someone looking to take ownership of workstreams, collaborate closely with project teams and coordinators, and potentially develop into a future lead-level position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver design and digital engineering outputs across a range of projects
  • Produce and manage 3D models and design information
  • Work closely with engineering and project delivery teams to support project execution
  • Coordinate and delegate tasks where appropriate to support efficient delivery
  • Support continuous improvement of digital engineering and modelling practices
  • Ensure work is delivered in line with industry standards and project requirements
  • Contribute to project planning and technical problem solving

Skills & Experience Required

Essential:

  • Strong experience using Revit
  • Strong experience using AutoCAD
  • Experience in 3D modelling
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage workload effectively
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Desirable:

  • Experience within the water sector
  • Candidates from related infrastructure, utilities, civil engineering or similar sectors will also be considered
  • Understanding of CDM regulations
  • Familiarity with HAZOPs
  • Experience with point cloud modelling or related digital engineering technologies
