Our mission is to accelerate and amplify the world's most important built projects by inventing a better way to build through collaboration between human experts and agentic AI.
We envision a future where the world's buildings are driven from concept to completion, autonomously, without delays, cost, and complexity, enabling people to deliver a magnitude more deals and make decisions, build relationships, and create. To start, we’re partnering with the world’s biggest built‑world institutions, from $T alternative assets investors to prolific developers and even governments, to push the frontier of what’s possible. We’re backed by C‑suite leadership from Blackstone, OpenAI, and the world’s best venture capital firms.
About The Role: This role ensures Build reflects how institutional projects actually get built. The Domain Lead brings a deep, end‑to‑end understanding of real estate development to drive results for partners and direction for the company. It carries direct responsibility for outcomes across live projects, new product definition, and partner success. You are the source of truth for how development works when projects are large, capital‑intensive, and high‑stakes.
- Own deep domain understanding across the full development lifecycle: site selection, feasibility, underwriting, entitlements, approvals, financing, delivery, and exit.
- Represent services perspective inside Build, ensuring product decisions reflect real incentives, constraints, and risk.
- Drive tangible outcomes for partners by applying Build’s platform to live projects and measuring success in time, certainty, and capital efficiency.
- Identify where development processes break down or slow materially, and turn those failure points into new product lines.
- Translate development judgment into clear workflows, assumptions, and decision frameworks that can be encoded into software.
- Own delivery quality from a domain perspective.
- Execute on POCs for new workflows by doing the work yourself alongside an engineer to support you with Build’s systems.
- Craft reusable development logic that allows Build to serve many projects without bespoke analysis.
- Act as a trusted peer to senior developers, investors, and public stakeholders by speaking their language with credibility.
