A new Estimator opportunity is now available with a principal contractor based in South East London within their Planned Work division. Reporting into the Commercial Lead, you will hold key relationships with the Director, Commercial team, Operation team, Clients, Subcontractors & Finance teams. You will prepare and produce accurate cost estimates from receipt of tender enquiry to tender settlement stage to achieve the Company Business growth Plan targets in respect of the Estimating function. Update the business sales pipeline with accurate sales information and ensure CRM software is continually kept updated. Support the Commercial and operational teams when required on developing mobilisation plans, project briefs and work in progress relating to commercial, design and operational issues.
Salary: Negotiable - depending on experience
Knowledge & Experience:
- Extensive knowledge of Estimating, with at least 5 years’ experience.
- Experience in technical aspects of construction and social housing refurbishment work.
- Competent in applying NHF SOR codes, bill of quantities, task prices, open book, basket rates and various pricing models.
- Proficient in numeracy.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient in using IT Microsoft applications.
- Previous experience of line management.
