We are currently recruiting for an experienced Construction Manager to join an established commercial refurbishment and fit out contractor delivering a major project in the heart of London.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of a CAT A and CAT B structural refurbishment and fit out project, working closely with the project team, subcontractors, consultants and client to ensure the project is delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.

- Prime Central London location
- 64-week programme
- Long-term contract opportunity with a minimum commitment of 2 years

As Construction Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day site operations, ensuring works are coordinated and delivered in line with the programme, drawings, specifications and quality requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing the day-to-day construction activities across the project
- Coordinating subcontractors and site teams
- Ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to specification
- Working closely with the Project Manager and wider project team
- Managing short-term programmes and sequencing of works
- Coordinating trades and resolving site-based issues
- Monitoring quality and ensuring a high standard of workmanship
- Attending site meetings and coordinating with consultants and stakeholders
- Reviewing drawings, specifications and construction information
- Managing health & safety and ensuring compliance with site procedures
- Monitoring progress against programme and reporting any potential delays
- Ensuring materials, labour and subcontractors are effectively coordinated
- Supporting the successful handover and completion of the project
About You
We are looking for a Construction Manager with strong commercial refurbishment and fit out experience, ideally having delivered projects involving both CAT A and CAT B works.
You will ideally have:
- Proven experience as a Construction Manager / Site Manager within commercial refurbishment and fit out
- Experience delivering CAT A and CAT B projects
- Strong knowledge of structural refurbishment and internal fit out
- Experience managing multiple subcontractors and trades
- Strong programme and sequencing knowledge
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A strong understanding of health & safety requirements
- The ability to work effectively with clients, consultants and subcontractors
- A proven track record of delivering projects from construction through to completion
