Build by Sets Ltd renovates characterful homes and Listed buildings within a 30-mile radius of Bruton in Somerset - private residential projects ranging from £250k. We strive to build high quality finishes and provide our clients with a market-leading customer experience. Due to a rapidly increasing workload, we are looking to engage an experienced Quantity Surveyor on a project-by-project basis initially, with the potential for full-time employment for the right person. The role includes working closely with the directors and site teams. You will lead the commercial management of bespoke, high-quality construction projects from tender through to final account.
Key responsibilities
- Preparing cost plans, budgets and estimates
- Tender analysis and subcontractor procurement
- Valuations, variations and cost reporting
- Monitoring project costs and cash flow
- Final accounts and commercial close-out
- Liaising with clients, architects and subcontractors as required
About You
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within residential construction
- Experience with high-end or bespoke projects
- Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
- Good communication and negotiation skills
- Based within reasonable distance of Bruton, Somerset (or willing to travel)
- Experience in Pro Core construction management software
