Yard Shunter - Nights [YS_EN]

Job Overview:

We are seeking a Shunter Driver with a LGV C+E (Class 1) driving licence to join our busy operation at our Ellington, Cambridgeshire depot. Looking for someone with previous experience in Shunting.

Shift Pattern:

4 on 4 off 12 hour shift

Pay:

Up to £18.23 per hour

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Working with the Coldstore and Operations team, you will manoeuvre company vehicles on site to facilitate efficient loading and unloading.
• Provide support within the Coldstore / Yard as required by the needs of the operation.
• Communicate with internal and external customers in a professional manner.
• Report any defects promptly to relevant personnel e.g. vehicle refrigeration defects.
• Ensure that all Health & Safety and Food Safety standards are met whilst completing all relevant paperwork to maintain compliance.

Qualifications:

• LGV C+E (Class 1) Driving Licence (max. 6 penalty points)
• A digital Tachograph
• Effective Communication: Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, customers and various teams. Fluency in English is required.
• Team-Player: Be able to work well with others.
• Adaptability: Ability to work well under pressure whilst maintaining safe working conditions.
