The Corporate Manufacturing Plant Maintenance Supervisor position is a key member of the Corporate Plant Maintenance Team responsible for the direct supervision of the Plant Maintenance Mechanics and exercising independent judgement and discretion in managing the maintenance of plant equipment.

  • Direct supervision of the Plant Maintenance Mechanics - Plans, schedules, directs and supervises work of these employees.
  • Responsible for performance evaluations.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees.
  • Responsible for the PM's program and the CMMS system.
  • Executes company safety policies and procedures relating to maintenance operations.
  • Trains employees on proper work methods and safety procedures.
  • Provides leadership and guidance to employees in the Maintenance Department.
  • Provides regular status reports to maintenance management team.
  • Keeps Director of Maintenance abreast of major mechanical problems in the plant, and assists in the solution to the problems.
  • Supervises inspections of equipment to comply with OSHA and other applicable regulations.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsible for the development, implementation and day to day supervision of maintenance systems, processes and documentation necessary.
  • Maintains accurate records of maintenance work performed and inventory.
  • Provides long term solutions and day-to-day support to all operating teams having issues with troubleshooting, problem analysis, equipment failures, etc.
  • Works and cooperates with outside vendors concerning service and parts for manufacturing equipment.
  • Helps select new employees for the maintenance department.
  • Responsible for planning and scheduling for personnel and shift changes as well as maintaining vacation schedules and weekly payroll reporting.
  • Assists in the planning and installation of new or modified equipment in the plant.
FOOD SAFETY:

Required to follow the Good manufacturing Program GMPs as listed in Code of Federal Regulations CFR 21 section 110. Requires participation in various Food Safety related training that Buffalo Rock utilizes. Required to report potential issues related to Food Safety.

Required education and experience
