Overview
Forklift Operator (Replenishment) β Level 2. Organization: Buffalo Rock Company. Department: Central Hub – Vertique. Reports to: Warehouse Supervisor β Central Hub. Work Schedule: SundayβThursday, 11:00 PM β 7:30 AM. Job Type: Regular. FLSA Status: Non-Exempt. Travel: None.
Responsibilities
- Regular and timely attendance is an essential function of this position. The role requires working all hours necessary to support operations, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Perform pre-trip inspection on all power equipment used through the InfoLink system.
- Operate a sit-down forklift to move products safely and efficiently.
- Follow driving rules and maintain awareness of surroundings.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or accidents to management.
- Identify and source products from backstock locations using electronic devices to process move transactions.
- Rotate stock following Location Base Inventory (LBI) process to ensure proper product rotation according to FEFO method.
- Move correct products from backstock to Vertique Towers picking locations in a timely manner.
- Properly handle packaged product to prevent damage.
- Communicate with Lead/Supervisor, warehouse pickers, and system operators via radio regarding lane status, product needs, empty pallets, and damages.
- Identify needs and assist other areas when appropriate.
- Collect and move empty pallets to designated areas and sort by type.
- Collect and move damaged product to the recycling area.
- Maintain clean equipment and work area; mop spills to keep floors clean and dry.
- Use proper lifting techniques and follow Buffalo Rock safety practices.
- Make sound decisions and multitask with minimal supervision.
- Adhere to standard operating procedures and work instructions.
- Follow GMPs as listed in CFR 21 CFR 110 and participate in food safety training; report potential food safety issues.
- Other assigned duties as needed.

Work environment
Working conditions will require both inside warehouse and outside work. Temperature conditions will vary from extreme heat to extreme cold.

Required Education And Experience
- Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Experience: At least 1 year in a warehouse; forklift operation; RF scanners and Warehouse Management Systems preferred
- Skills: Read product packaging and communicate in English via radio; able to pass forklift certification; basic math and WMS use
