Forklift Operator (Receiving) – Central Hub
Buffalo Rock Company, central hub distribution center, looking for a reliable Forklift Operator responsible for accurate receipt, shipment, and safe transportation of products.
Essential Functions
- Regular and timely attendance, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Operate stand‑up and sit‑down forklifts safely and efficiently.
- Perform pre‑trip inspections on all power equipment via InfoLink system.
- Follow all driving rules and be aware of surroundings.
- Report equipment malfunctions, accidents, and incidents to management.
- Offload products from vendors and replenishment loads, inspecting conditions and quantity.
- Verify inbound products match BOL, quantities, expiration date, and at least 3 months before expiration.
- Move products to backstock and picking locations following receiving best practices.
- Rotate stock using Location Base Inventory (LBI) process to ensure FEFO rotation.
- Allocate products into the Warehouse Management System using electronic devices (tablets, cell phones, RF scanners).
- Handle packaged product properly to avoid damage.
- Load/offload, sort, organize, and stock dunnage accurately and efficiently.
- Clear returns and staging areas and move products to respective locations.
- Collect and move damages to designated recycling areas.
- Communicate abnormal or damaged conditions regarding equipment, trailers, and products to Receiving Lead/Supervisor timely.
- Identify needs and assist other areas when appropriate.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness; mop spills as needed.
- Use proper lifting techniques; follow BRC safety practices.
- Make sound decisions and multitask simultaneously without constant supervision.
- Adhere to SOPs and work instructions.
- Follow GMPs (CFR 21 §110) and report potential food safety issues.
- Perform other assigned duties as needed.

Required Education and Experience
- High School Graduate or GED (Preferred).
- At least one year of experience in a warehouse environment (Required).
- At least one year of experience operating a forklift (Required).
- Prior experience utilizing RF scanners and Warehouse Management Systems (Preferred).
- Read product packaging and communicate in English via radio.
- Pass forklift certification.
- Perform basic math and use Warehouse Management Systems.
- Learn how to operate Tenant Scrubber (Additional training).
