Position Overview
The Control Tech Intern is an entry‑level member of the Plant Maintenance Team. This role assists in installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of control systems and instrumentation. Supports technicians in monitoring system performance, calibrating equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The intern gains hands‑on experience with automation technologies and control software in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
Essential Functions
- Learn basic and intermediate control technology using PLCs, network devices, HMI devices, VFDs, and other control peripherals.
- Apply these technologies to the bottling process, troubleshoot issues, improve operations, and assist with installation of new equipment.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Other Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain a high level of ethical and moral conduct during work hours and off‑site functions representing the company.
- Continuously improve skills by completing all provided training, including web‑based and in‑house courses.
- Take reasonable precautions to protect the company from damage, theft, or other liabilities.
- Ensure employee and customer safety, protecting both company and customer property.
- Honor all business commitments and follow company policies.
Qualifications
- High School Graduate or GED; required.
- Enrollment in post‑secondary education preferred.

- Manual handling of 11‑20 lbs. frequently; 21‑50 lbs. occasionally.
- Ability to wear PPE: high‑visibility shirt or safety vest, slip‑resistant shoes, gloves, hair net, eye protection, earplugs.
