Location: Birmingham - Warehouse (Corporate)
The COR Warehouse Shift Lead is a key member of the Warehouse Team responsible for utilizing industrial equipment for general warehouse operations; to include loading and unloading trucks, applicable scanning of inventory, inventory tracking, and WMS system support. Required to fill in for the Supervisor, as needed. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.
Essential Functions
- Must be familiar with warehouse, clerical/dispatch, production and premise/purchase area(s) in order to ensure best time management in completing assigned duties.
- When pulling from palletizer area, requirements are as follows:
- Ensure any pallet placed in stock has a ticket attached; ensure each pallet has correct stock rotation.
- Ensure there are no more than three stacks of plastic pallets behind each palletizer at any time.
- Never let the pallets of full product back up and shut the palletizer down.
- Dispose of all partials at the end of each run.
- Ensure all partial pallets of crowns are used first.
- Ensure all partial pallets of bottles are used first.
- Ensure can line has cartons.
- Ensure can line has lids.
- Ensure plastic trays are kept loaded at the denester.
- Ensure empty pallets are pulled from depalletizer.
- Ensure lines never run out of bottles or cans.
- Help keep hoppers empty when possible.
- Ensure all dunnage loads are properly accounted for and all billing is completed for return shipment(s).
- Assist supervisors in research and analysis of inventory discrepancies and its root cause.
- Research all traceable contact points for inventory resolution.
- Identify process errors in EPs that cause inventory issues.
- Assist in process training of EPs with management to improve inventory accuracy.
- Must properly and accurately load/unload materials as needed.
- Loader is responsible for stacking individual cases for partial pallet load‑out.
- Correctly receive and verify supplier P.O.(s) and accurately account for all ordered pallets/cases, through AVAIL (demand planning).
- Perform periodic review of inventory through cycle count research and correction.
- Perform physical and system checks of ordered pallets.
- All forklift operators are responsible for daily checklist of unit and battery as designated.
- Required to assist in keeping assigned area neat and in order.
- May be required to work varying shifts, weekends and/or overtime if needed to meet customer demand.
- Carry out other duties as assigned.
FOOD SAFETY:
Required to follow the Good Manufacturing Program (GMPs) as listed in Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) 21 section 110. Requires participation in various Food Safety related training that Buffalo Rock utilizes. Required to report potential issues related to Food Safety.

Required education and experience
- Education: High School Diploma or General Education Degree; Required.
- Computer Skills: Basic knowledge of Microsoft suite of products including Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Experience: Two (2) years of experience with a WMS application: Required.
- Certifications and Licenses: Must be able to be Forklift Certified by Buffalo Rock Company.
