Buffalo Rock is an award-winning Pepsi-Bottler founded in Birmingham, AL, more than 100 years ago. The CME Shipping and Receiving Support is a key member of the Corporate Marketing Equipment Team responsible for performing many general functions in order to assist and support the efficient operations of the warehouse.
Essential Functions
- When orders arrive, unload shipment via forklift and or pallet jack.
- When shipping, hand stack some special equipment, lifting up to 50 pounds maximum.
- Band and wrap shipment utilizing bander and wrapper.
- Separate, organize and pack any items that we send out for refurbishment or return to other remanufacturers or suppliers.
- Wear all assigned safety equipment and observe safety rules.
- Follow safety guidelines required by Management.
- Assist in general housekeeping functions within the warehouse and grounds.
- Process equipment orders received from the Franchises by getting approval and preparing orders to be sent out.
- Receive used equipment from Franchise to be sorted for remanufacturing or sale.
- Once orders have been pulled, process through computer software to be sent to the Franchises.
- Complete and process shipping orders/load tickets, truck load forms and WMS reports for equipment being sent.
- Provide daily communication with franchises and technicians on orders, back orders and out of stock items.
- Order equipment when necessary; maintain and update drop ship equipment orders to the franchises by drop ship date from MFG's and drop ship forms from the Franchises.
- Maintain inventory functions: adding new equipment, remanufactured equipment and internal refurbished equipment, correctly issuing equipment out to divisions, maintain new and remanufactured equipment inventory counts accurately on a daily basis.
- Maintain and file all records/invoices pertaining to CME functions: receiving, shipping, equipment inventories and Purchase Orders from all divisions and manufacturers.
- Carry out other duties as assigned by management such as sweeping, mopping, banding, emptying trash, recycling cardboard/metal, cleaning offices, working outside of your immediate department, etc.
- Meet productivity established by supervisor based upon workload and business demands.

- Computer Skills: Must be proficient with Microsoft Office program and be able to maintain spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel.
- Certifications & Licenses: Must be able to be Forklift Certified by Buffalo Rock Company.
- Other Requirements: Required to read and write numbers and letters of all shipments on appropriate forms.
