Buffalo is offering you an exciting opportunity to join a graduate training scheme with one of the country’s top fundraising consultancies in the educational charity sector. Our two and a half year grad/training scheme is dynamic, rewarding, and hands-on.Join us, and you’ll become part of a vibrant, supportive team with a strong reputation for welcoming graduates with open arms. As one of our new herd members, you’ll receive top-notch training through our well-established programme designed to set you up for success in every part of your role.

As a Trainee Campaign Officer, you’ll learn how to take the reins on fundraising campaigns from start to finish, becoming the key contact and project manager for each client. This role is a fantastic blend of responsibilities—one day you’re recruiting and training fundraising callers, and the next, you’re coordinating meeting with clients or working on project details such as admin and database work in the office.

You’ll get to train and lead a team of up to 50 students (either in person or over Teams), inspire and motivate your fundraising teams, and after working with your client to get everything in place you will bring each campaign to life. You’ll enjoy a balance between in-office work and travelling to client sites for on-site telethons. That means getting a chance to stay at different locations with all travel, accommodation, and even a generous food allowance covered!

And while some telethons will take you to client sites, where you’ll oversee the campaign action firsthand, other telethons will be run remotely, allowing you the flexibility to work from home or our office, so you will need to be happy with both of these aspects of the role.

You’ll be given full training on our systems; so bring your organisational skills, a love for clear communication, and a confident approach to IT, then you will be all set.

Away from telethons most of your training will take place in our modern and friendly Bristol office. All of the preparation and wrap up work for your campaigns would be office based tasks as well, but we are currently offering hybrid working so you will also be able to work from home for part of the week, should you wish to. We are a sociable bunch who will be delighted to have another herd member to join in with our office lunches, breakfast pastry days, team drinks and other social occasions!

In return for your hard work Buffalo offers the following salary and benefits:

·Starting salary of £24,000

·Pay increase to £25,500 following successful completion of the 4-6 month training programme

·Another rise to £29,500 the following year

·Subsistence package worth £1,000 per year

·20 days holiday plus the opportunity to earn an average of 24 additional lieu days for weekend working

·Flexible working hours, hybrid working, casual dress, Employee Assistance Programme, paid charity volunteer days, weekend travel bonus, workplace pension and regular staff social events and treats.

This is a fixed term two and a half year scheme open to graduate or equivalent candidates, after which we will assist you with achieving your future career plans. You would be in a good position and welcomed to apply for other roles within Buffalo, as our open recruitment culture means that most of our positions are taken on by those who started with us on one of our grad schemes.

Here at Buffalo we are passionate about diversity and inclusivity, and are striving to become a company which represents the diversity of the world as a whole. We welcome applications from all and are an equal opportunities employer.
