About the Role

We are seeking dedicated Residential Support Workers to join our team in Bournemouth on a casual basis. This role offers you the flexibility to work shifts as needed, allowing you to commit to hours that suit your schedule without any contractual obligations.

Your Responsibilities

  • Support children and young adults with emotional and behavioral difficulties.
  • Promote, safeguard, and protect the welfare of our young people.
  • Establish and maintain positive, trusting relationships.
  • Encourage the development of individual interests and skills.
  • Work collaboratively within a supportive team environment.
  • Be flexible in covering shifts, including sickness and annual leave.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience working with children and young people, particularly in care settings.
  • Understanding of the challenges faced by young people in care.
  • Excellent communication and listening skills.
  • A willingness to learn and grow within the role.
  • A full UK driving license and access to a car for travel.
  • Desirable: Residential Childcare/Families Practitioner Diploma or equivalent (willingness to work towards Level 4 diploma is acceptable).
  • Experience with Emotional Behavioral Disorder, Social/Residential Work, or Youth Work is advantageous.

Working Conditions

This is a full-time, permanent position with a shift pattern on rotation. You will be required to cover shifts as needed, including sleep-in shifts.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Hourly rate: £12.79 - £14.50 (dependent on qualifications and experience).
  • Sleep-in allowance of £64 per night.
  • Accrued holiday pay.
  • All meals provided during shifts.
